About
I make abstract paintings inspired by the small details and textures of the physical world. Rust on a lamppost, dappled light through canopies, the elements, signs of gentle decay — these are the details I am drawn to explore.
My work is mostly acrylic, acrylic mediums, and fabric, with a focus on layered surface and emotional weight. I build my own canvases and follow each piece through from raw materials to its new home.
Painting is how I think about what it means to be alive at this particular moment in time. It's where I put everything I can't say more directly about the natural world, about loss, and about the deep pain that comes from paying attention.
